Themes and goals

Higher education is facing growing challenges from shifting social, political and institutional landscapes. How can universities stay strong and advance internationalisation in turbulent times? How vital are inclusive and diverse structures for resilience?

These questions are at the heart of our international conference, designed for university staff at all levels - senior management, international offices, diversity officers, academic and administrative staff, PhD students, Erasmus+ National Agency colleagues, student service providers and experts from relevant organisations.

On the second day of the programme, we will hold a BarCamp and a PhD roundtable:

• The BarCamp on Projects related to DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging) & Resilience is an open format where participants themselves determine the topics and sessions; the agenda is created live on-site. Every topic that is suggested has a chance. This fosters genuine exchange among colleagues from different institutions and disciplines. We look forward to receiving nominations of colleagues working on projects that explore how diversity and inclusion help to build resilience!

• In the roundtable “Research meets diversity: PHD research showcase” PhD students will present their research studies and approaches - concisely and accessibly, bridging theory and practice. In this session we would like to learn about these projects and studies and discuss them with participants from various European countries. After a brief presentation of the research-projects, we will engage in a discussion and bring together different perspectives. We look forward to receiving nominations of PhD students working on topics related to diversity, inclusion, and/or resilience! PhD students can submit their projects as part of the official registration process.

Join us for lively panel discussions, hands-on workshops, interactive bar-camp sessions, and engaging roundtable talks. Exchange ideas, discover best practices, and take away practical strategies to strengthen resilience at your institution.

Expected results

The seminar provides an excellent platform for sharing best practice, collaborative learning, presenting research findings and initiatives and discussing them with stakeholders from a wide range of disciplines. The aim is to forge links between theory and practice.

Participants take away ideas and inspiration for their day-to-day work that enable them to build resilience in their communities.
